When you think about what it means to be a woman, words that come to mind are that of femininity, soft, beautiful, dainty, passive, sensual, and fragile to name a few, but what comes to mind when you think of a man? You can come up with words like assertive, aggressive, masculinity, strength, bravery, and powerful are a few that surface. In life, as a woman, when it comes to tapping into our ambitious and GOAL digger side..we execute aggression, power, assertiveness and ego all rolled into one! we make no mistakes about it and do so witout hesitation, because to be a woman in a world ruled by men, let's face it, in order to get to any place of a presitgue of where you want and deserve to be, you can't be dainty and fragile...you have to speak up to be heard and lead like a wolf leads the pack!
But when it comes to love and romance, does being a "lady" and thinking like a man really work? or does it really just leave you with nothing but a damn headche trying to take on and adapt to the natural ways that men simply are when it comes to love. Men have their own thing going lol hell they even have their own time! what's an hour to us is like 5 minutes to them...man time is a real thing lol but anywho, In the initial stages of dating and romance, we're taught to allow him to pursue, it's in their nature...but then months down the line you find yourself playing this deadly game to "try to hold his attention". You take a year and a day to respond when you know ordinarily you're the girl that responds in a few minutes. The phone rings and you sit their staring at it only to decline the call and respond with the automatic "cant talk right now" option after you've waited all day to hear dude's voice. He flirts, you act cold, he tries to plan a date, you say you're busy...knowing damn well you got all the free time in the world! By the time you finally let up and decide to play the "act like a lady" he's already checked out!
In love and romance you guys both have a part to play, let him do his part and you save trying to think like him for the parts outside of your courting that require you to think like him! Odds are him seeing you in all that characterizes what it means to be a woman in addition to you having a take no prisoners attitude in all your goals that you are striving for will send more of a loud and clear message to him that you're someone he wants to keep around, than anything else. The phrase "thinking like a man" in my opinion is fine for us to adapt in other areas of our life where we need to show strength, power, assertiveness and although as a woman i think these are traits that describe women anyways, in keeping with the concept behind the phrase, let him do all the thinking like a man when it comes to love....because you being all that encompasses the words that define what it means to be a woman, will definitely show through and have him take notice!
